Evidence boundaries

Organisation listings identify a reviewed canonical record. Model listings show an association in the source register; they do not by themselves establish model creation, current API availability, hosting location or infrastructure ownership.

Profile note

The compute substrate under most of French open AI. Jean Zay (IDRIS/CNRS, operated for GENCI) trained BLOOM, Lucie and the CamemBERT line; its France 2030-funded H100 extension pushed peak performance from 36.85 to 125.9 petaflops, making it France's largest AI-dedicated supercomputer. Chronic oversubscription is the binding constraint on French academic model training.
