The UK's sovereign AI compute anchor and the direct counterpart to EuroHPC's LUMI/JUPITER/MeluXina-AI on the EU side. 5,448 NVIDIA Grace-Hopper GPUs on HPE Cray EX4000, delivering over 21 ExaFLOP/s of 8-bit performance for LLM training; ranked 11th in the world on the TOP500 in Nov 2025 and the UK's most powerful supercomputer. Launched July 2025; access opened to academia and industry via AIRR and then to startups under the £500M Sovereign AI fund. Because the UK is outside EuroHPC, this is the single most important structural difference between UK and EU AI compute access.
