Profile note

Proof that the EuroHPC compute-grant model actually produces models. Poro and Viking were trained end-to-end on LUMI with CSC-provided allocations and HPLT data, and established the low-resource co-training recipe now reused across the European stack. The people involved (Peter Sarlin, TurkuNLP) are also central to OpenEuroLLM. Sovereignty caveat: since AMD's 2024 acquisition of Silo AI the main industrial partner is US-owned.
