Discovered while researching Danish Foundation Models and worth a separate record: SnakModel is the other open Danish 7B, from ITU Copenhagen rather than the DFM consortium, and its NoDaLiDa 2025 paper is the candid write-up of what went wrong with Danish continued pretraining — including the finding that DFM's Munin-7B-alpha underperformed its own Mistral base, consistent with catastrophic forgetting. No API, no pricing.
